Tibetan Rug with Flower and Endless Knot Border
Beauty at the center. Eternity at the edge.
This hand-knotted Tibetan rug pairs two of the most meaningful traditions in Himalayan craft: a central field of flowering motifs - symbols of impermanence, purity, and the fleeting beauty of earthly life, enclosed by an Endless Knot border, one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism, representing the infinite interconnectedness of all things.
It's a deliberate pairing. The flowers remind us that beauty blooms and passes. The Endless Knot surrounding them reminds us that nothing is ever truly lost, everything connects, returns, and continues. Together, they create a rug that holds both gentleness and depth.
How It's Made
Hand-knotted in Kathmandu, Nepal, by artisans trained in traditional Tibetan techniques. This design requires two distinct skill sets in a single rug: the curved, organic lines of floral work at the center and the precise, geometric interlocking of the Endless Knot along the border. The transition between the two is where the weaver's experience shows. 100 knots per square inch. Production takes 10 to 14 weeks.
Materials
100% fine New Zealand wool on a cotton foundation. Naturally soft, durable, and colorfast. Safe for homes with children and pets. Fringed edges hand-finished.

Where to Place It
The combination of soft florals and structured border geometry makes this rug versatile at home in a living room, a meditation space, a dining room, or a bedroom. The Endless Knot border provides a natural visual frame, making the rug feel anchored and intentional wherever it's placed.
A Note on Handmade
Slight variations in petal shapes, knot line widths, and color saturation are inherent to the hand-knotting process. These are the natural signatures of handmade Tibetan carpets, each one different, each one real.
