Our Story
Supporting local Arts & Artisans since 2016
Yuna Handicrafts started in Kathmandu Valley with a simple idea: the artisans who spend their lives perfecting traditional Nepali crafts deserve a way to reach the world, on fair terms.
We are a small family run handicrafts business from Nepal. We work directly with local craftspeople - gurkha khukuris from Kami community, metal sculptors plus singing bowls from the Tamrakar community, carpet weavers mostly women who have moved to Kathmandu from different remote regions of Nepal, Thangka painters, and other artisans. Many of them women and members of marginalized communities. They set the pace. They set the standard. We handle the rest: sourcing, quality checks, and getting their handmade products from Nepal to your doorstep with free worldwide shipping.

Our collection includes handmade Tibetan singing bowls, hand-painted Thangka paintings, handwoven Tibetan rugs, Gurkha Khukuris, brass and bronze Buddhist statues, Pashmina shawls, felt and felt ball products, handmade bags, and traditional Nepali musical instruments like the Madal, Basuri, Sarangi and more. Everything is 100% handmade and ethically sourced. Nothing is mass-produced.
We won't pretend every purchase changes the world. But we believe it matters that choosing a hand-hammered bowl over a factory copy keeps a family's craft alive for one more generation. That paying fairly isn't charity, it's respect. And that the imperfections in a handmade piece aren't flaws. They are proof that a real person made it, carefully, with skill passed down through their family.
That's all Yuna is. A bridge between the people who make beautiful handicrafts and the people who value how they are made.
