Plain Scandinavian Rug Style
No pattern. No distraction. Just wool, warmth, and quiet.
This is the most minimal rug in our collection and that's exactly the point. A plain solid-color Scandinavian rug strips away everything except what matters: the texture of handwoven wool, the depth of a naturally dyed tone, and the grounding presence of a well-made surface beneath your feet.
In a world of busy patterns and competing designs, a plain rug is a conscious choice. It lets your furniture speak. It lets your art command the walls. It gives the room space to breathe. And because this one is handwoven from 100% New Zealand wool in Nepal, not stamped out of a factory, it has something that machine-made solid rugs never do: life. Subtle variations in pile direction catch light differently across the surface. Tiny shifts in tone emerge where different skeins of wool meet. It's "plain" the way handmade bread is "plain" - simple on the surface, rich in every detail.
How It's Made
Hand-knotted in Nepal by skilled artisans. A solid-color rug may look simple, but it's one of the hardest designs to execute by hand, there's no pattern to hide inconsistencies. Every variation in tension, color, or pile height is visible. This rug demands perfection, and the weavers deliver it. Production takes 10 to 14 weeks.
Materials
100% fine New Zealand wool on a cotton foundation. Dense, soft 4mm pile. Colorfast. Safe for children and pets.

Where to Place It
Anywhere. That's the advantage of a plain rug, it adapts to every room and every style. Living room, bedroom, dining room, nursery, home office, entryway. It works equally well in minimalist, Scandinavian, Japandi, contemporary, and traditional interiors because it supports whatever's already in the room instead of competing with it.
A Note on Handmade
Because every knot is tied by hand, no two rugs are identical. Expect subtle variations in color saturation and texture, these are the natural marks of a handwoven Tibetan carpet made by a real person, not a machine.
