Endless Knot Rugs

The Endless Knot has no beginning and no end, and that's the whole point.

One of the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism, the Endless Knot represents the interconnectedness of all things: wisdom intertwined with compassion, cause linked to effect, the spiritual woven into the everyday. In Tibetan tradition, this symbol has been knotted into rugs for centuries, not just for decoration, but as a daily reminder that nothing exists in isolation.

This hand-knotted Tibetan rug features the Endless Knot as a bold central motif, framed by a traditional border that completes the design with balance and symmetry. It's a Buddhist symbol rug you can walk on, sit on, meditate on and one that quietly changes the feeling of any room it enters.

How It's Made

Hand-knotted by skilled artisans in Kathmandu, Nepal, using traditional Tibetan weaving techniques. At 100 knots per square inch, the interlocking geometry of the Endless Knot comes through in clean, precise detail. Each rug takes 10 to 14 weeks to complete, depending on size, involving multiple craftspeople from start to finish.

Materials

100% fine New Zealand wool on a cotton foundation. Naturally soft, resilient, and colorfast. Safe for children and pets, no synthetic fibers, no chemical treatments. Fringed edges finished by hand.

Available Sizes

The Endless Knot carries calm, meditative energy, ideal for living rooms, meditation spaces, yoga studios, or bedrooms. Its balanced, symmetrical design works equally well as a centered area rug or a statement piece beneath a low table.

A Note on Handmade

Because every knot is tied by hand, no two rugs are identical. Expect subtle variations in color saturation and texture, these are the natural marks of a handwoven Tibetan carpet made by a real person, not a machine.
